Trying to nail my focus

Don't you just hate blurry pictures?? And with the rebel xt's LCD so small, sometimes you think you got a good picture, until you upload it and you think "DANG IT!!!!!!" So that's what I'm working on. I would say that about 1-2 out of 10 are in focus. But no matter! Today, I registered for a digital photography class at BATC and it starts next week! It is taught by fellow ILPer and I'm exciting to learn all that she has to offer! Anyways, I did a quick little session with Miss S today and she was not in the mood! I only got 1 decent one, and please excuse her rough skin. I don't have money for skin smoothing action yet! or PSE 6 for that matter! More shares to come as I take this class for the next 10 weeks!

Yellowstone: A photographer's dream

We were at Yellowstone National Park for a week and I took about 300 pictures because quite frankly I don't have the desire to edit them all! Here are some of my favorites:

Kodak Moment:
Miss Fancy Nancy:

Dried mud pot:

Hot Spring:

Sean with buffalo:

Meet Miss Clara

She is just the cutest little thing! We were so glad to have hung out with her at Yellowstone. I've purchased Michelle Pearson's PSP 8 B/W actions, and used it on this photo. It helped take away the bruising on Miss Clara's forehead and the yogurt that was still on her face.

New Lens, New Trick...

I got a great deal from a fellow ILPer! I got the new (used) 75-300mm III USM lens from canon. I mainly got it because we're going to Yellowstone next week and I want to get some awesome pictures of the animals. But I've been practicing with it around home and got this pictures of Sean standing on a pile of dirt pretending he is the king of the world! I also learn to burn edges easily this week too! love it!!!

Cow Skull....

This is to show how country we are..... Rhead took the kids for a walk and came back with a cow skull. Just like that! I miss the bay area.... where there are no cows in the backyard and certainly no dead cows lying somewhere where my kids can find them. Well, it did make an interesting photo anyways.

Barty Crouch Jr!

Okay... so that's not really his full name, but his name is Bart :) He is a black standard schnauzer and belongs to my in laws. He is so full of energy and loves to bark at bikers and moms with strollers. He can be annoying sometimes but fun to have around.
